Who Built That?

Who Built That?

Years ago, I took a school field trip to a condiment factory.  The guide led us through a dizzying array of twirling machinery: robotic arms twisting back and forth, and rows of colorful bottles whizzing past.  It was all fascinating, but I just remember thinking, does the world really need this much mustard?

Looking back, I was actually most interested in where all the machines came from.  Who made those?  And how long did it take to get them running so perfectly?

Just imagine if the tour guide had said, “All the amazing machinery in front of you somehow appeared over time and eventually started working perfectly on its own.”

We would have laughed, assuming he must be joking. Everyone knows that’s not how it works. Complicated machinery can only be built by an even more capable source: an intelligent designer, a fabricator, an engineer — someone who can make things work just right.

So, if producing bottles of ketchup and mustard requires such careful design, what about us?  Psalm 139:13–14 says, “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb… I am wonderfully complex.”

Take a moment today to thank the Lord for His amazing creation — a clear testimony to His wisdom and hand in everything.
