Pizza Dog
There’s a certain magic in our house when my son arrives home from his job at the pizza place. Our dog knows it before anyone else. Tail wagging, ears up, happy twirls and snorts — she’s on full alert. She knows exactly what that box in his hands means: fresh pizza scraps are coming her way!
Watching her antics is hilarious, and it reminds me that God’s blessings often appear in our lives in the same way. They aren’t always grand or flashy, but they’re real, satisfying, and meant to bring joy.
Maybe it’s an encouraging word from a co-worker, a beautiful sunset, or just bumping into an old friend at the grocery store. These tiny treasures are everywhere if we just take the time to notice.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 reminds us to “always be joyful” and to “give thanks in all circumstances.” Gratitude isn’t only for the big victories. It’s for the everyday moments… the “scraps,” the little tidbits that make life sweet.
Look for the small blessings in your life today. Savor them, and let joy wag its tail in your heart. Sometimes the tiniest bites bring the greatest delight.
