A Daily Campaign

There's something refreshing about driving around town after Election Day: the political signs are finally gone!

For weeks, they were sprouting up along roadsides and front lawns.  Some homeowners displayed a single sign.  Others apparently felt compelled to endorse the same candidate 10 times over… or plant a sign for virtually everyone on the ballot.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably wondered, “Can those little signs even be all that effective?”

Short answer: Yes!

There's power in repetition.  Seeing the same name day after day builds familiarity, and familiarity influences our decisions, often without us even realizing it.

I wonder if we’re taking advantage of that same principle in our spiritual lives.  You might not have a “Jesus 2026” sign in your front yard, but how many reminders of Him do you have in your home — maybe hanging on your walls or the fridge?  Is there anything sitting on your desk or in your car that can quickly refocus your mind on Him?  Maybe a prayer list, a favorite Bible verse, or a simple photo to remind you of a time when God answered your prayers?

In Deuteronomy 6, God told the Israelites to keep His words close — talking about them throughout the day, writing them on their doorposts, and making them part of everyday life.

Today, let’s take a look around.  What could we add to our everyday surroundings that would keep our thoughts and decisions focused on the One we’re living for?
