More Than GPS

More than GPS

Remember when we actually had to give directions to help visitors find our houses?  We had it all memorized—distances, landmarks, and turns.

“…Go left at the McDonald’s… after a mile, bear right at the gas station… continue past the school and take a right onto Elm Street… we’re the third house on the left.”

It was practically an art form.

These days, GPS and smartphones have taken care of all that.  Most of us don’t even think about directions anymore.  We trust Google to get people where they’re going.

But what if we were asked for spiritual directions?  Suppose a friend wanted to know how to become a Christian, or had questions about faith, forgiveness, or eternal life.  Would we feel ready to walk alongside them and point the way?

1 Peter 3:15 reminds us, "If someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.”

The internet is a powerful tool, but let’s not lose the personal art of knowing God’s Word and being ready to share it. Take a few moments today to revisit some key Scriptures that have shaped your own faith. When the opportunity comes, you’ll be ready to communicate the good news with clarity and confidence.
